Trivia: Burnham Park was named after Baguio City’s planner, Daniel Burnham.
Burnham Park is a popular destination for families during the weekends in Baguio City. It’s one of the most beautiful places in the city. With its lagoon, flowers, trees, and picnic grounds, Burnham provides elements for a typical family day. You can just sit back here and enjoy the cold breeze.
You can get a great shoe shine here if you happen to find one shoe shiner. There were also manicurist who approached me. That was something new for me. I didn’t know manicurist were already roaming around Burnham Park. It’s a great idea to walk your dogs here too. Or ride a bike. Or go roller skating. Me, I just love taking pictures here. During Baguio Day (September 1), I couldn’t resist the beautiful sunny morning. I headed to Burnham Park to take some pictures…
But before that, let me just comment on Baguio Day. It is as if nothing special was going on. Everyone was going about their daily routines just like any other day. I wish Baguio could host fiestas or something like in the provinces. I think that will give it a more ‘celebrating’ feel. After all, it is THE DAY. So here are the pictures… Not much though…(Reduced image size to 20%) I will include the photos of flowers in my next post. I love you Baguio
No one can ever replace you in my heart. Naks.

The view deck on the edge of Burnham Lagoon. This was a recent addition about three years ago, I think. I don’t remember it being there when I was a kid.

Melvin Jones Many concerts are held here. Some variety shows are also held here. This also serves as a football field.
